The differentiator most companies skip

The doors are solid wood too — included in the price

Most closet makers build the interior in wood (or MDF) but use synthetic or separately-priced doors. At Madetza, the doors are the exact same solid wood as the interior modules — included in your quote from the start, not an add-on you discover later.

Why matching wood doors matter

The difference that matters

Solid wood vs MDF closets — what changes after years of daily use

MDF looks identical to solid wood the first year. The difference shows once drawers have opened and closed hundreds of times, or doors have been used twice a day for years.

△ Doors often priced separately

Melamine · the most affordable option

What we never use

✗ Edge banding chips with impact

✗ No repair option once damaged
✗ Hardware doesn’t hold well
✗ Lasts 3-5 years typically
✗ No refinishing possible

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before getting your closet quote

If your question isn’t here, message us on WhatsApp — we reply in written English.
Built-in closets start at $1,000 USD, walk-in closets at $2,000 USD, and full dressing rooms at $3,000 USD. All prices include solid wood doors and local installation in the ZMG. For comparison, solid wood closets in the US typically start around $150 per square foot — Madetza offers the same solid wood quality at a fraction of that cost.
Yes, always. The doors are the exact same solid wood as the interior modules — included in your quote from the very first proposal. Many closet companies charge doors separately or use synthetic materials for them; we don’t do either.
100% solid wood — no exceptions. We never use MDF or melamine in our closets. We work with parota, oak and tzalam. Some companies in this market mix solid wood interiors with MDF or synthetic doors to cut costs; Madetza doesn’t.
Yes — it’s one of our most common projects, and we already work with US and Canadian homeowners with property in Guadalajara, Zapopan and Tlajomulco. Send photos and measurements over WhatsApp, we send a written English proposal, and you approve remotely with photo and video updates throughout.
A walk-in closet is integrated into the bedroom without its own door — modules on two or three walls with a center walkway. A dressing room is a fully independent room with its own door and modules on every wall, offering more privacy and storage. The dressing room needs more space but gives a more complete result.
At least 6 feet of depth in the available space for a comfortable center walkway. For a dressing room, you need a minimum of 43 square feet as an independent room. If your space is smaller, a well-designed built-in closet can be more functional than a cramped walk-in.
Parota for visual impact — warm, unique grain in every piece. Oak for a clean, contemporary look with maximum hardness. Tzalam for a distinctive darker tone with excellent stability. We help you choose based on your bedroom’s style before you commit.
Between 3 and 6 weeks depending on the project. A built-in closet can be ready in 3-4 weeks. A full walk-in or dressing room project typically takes 5-6 weeks. We commit to a written delivery date before any deposit.
Yes. You’re welcome to visit our workshop in Etzatlán to see wood samples and projects in progress firsthand. If an in-person visit isn’t possible, we send photos of finished closets in the wood and style you’re considering, or arrange a video call tour.
Yes. For homes under construction, we coordinate with your architect to define exact measurements before final finishes go in — the ideal way to plan the closet from the start and make the most of the available space.
