We want to be upfront that, because it’s a natural material installed directly over concrete, it’s normal over time for solid wood treads to show minor surface marks or slight movement — this is a natural characteristic of real wood, not a defect, similar to how any hardwood floor reacts to its environment.

1 inch is our standard thickness — noticeably more substantial than the 3/4 inch most suppliers use as their standard. We also offer a 1.5 inch option for staircases with heavy daily use or for a more dramatic look.

Parota is our most requested option for its bold, warm grain. Oak is the hardest wood we offer, ideal if the staircase gets heavy daily use. Tzalam gives a distinctive darker tone. Teak is our premium option, naturally resistant and refined-looking.
